‘Nigeria will be stronger in Brazil’- Emenike

The Fenerbahce striker is confident that the Super Eagles will put up a great showing at the Fifa 2014 Brazil World Cup
Nigeria forward Emmanuel Emenike has stated his ambition of achieving success with the senior national team next year. The bulky player who was top scorer at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa stated that the 2014 World Cup will be a great platform to prove himself as one of the best strikers in Africa..
"Next year will be a big one for the Super Eagles because the World Cup is football's biggest stage," Emenike told BBC Sport.
"Brazil is that place where I hope to make my mark and prove myself as a striker that can perform at major tournaments.
"I will be doing everything for the team as usual. I am confident as a team Nigeria will be stronger in Brazil.
"Every player is looking to the World Cup. I think we've got every chance of doing better than our previous outings," he continued.
"We've gone unbeaten in Africa in two years and the players know we can use that as a big motivation to do well in Brazil.
"This is a big chance for us. Our fans are hopeful and everyone is solidly behind us, so we can do it first by getting out of the group. After that we can then take it step by step,” concluded Emenike.
The African champions have not won a match at the World Cup since beating Bulgaria in France 1998 - the last time the Super Eagles made it to the knock-out stages.

They have been drawn against Argentina, Iran and Boasnia-Herzegovina in Group F.
