Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres was thrilled with his brace in their Copa del Rey draw against Real Madrid.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker scored his first two goals since rejoining his boyhood club as Atleti claimed a 2-2 draw at the Bernabeu to reach the last eight of the competition with of a 4-2 aggregate score.
"It's been a wonderful day, a day for celebrations," said Torres.
As for the cup tie itself, Torres had this to say: "We're happy. We had to stay focused and not give them any chances. The early goal enabled us to play our game. I don't think we were under too much pressure. The result was never in doubt and that's not easy at the Bernabéu."
When asked if he feared a comeback, he admitted: "This is the Bernabéu and even though you score a goal they can score four. We held on to the draw until half-time and then we managed to get another."
