David de Gea’s agent has denied a deal has been agreed for the goalkeeper to join Real Madrid and revealed he is in talks with Manchester United over a new contract.
The Spanish shotstopper has a little over a year remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford and continues to be linked with a move to the Bernabeu.
There have been some suggestions in his homeland that Real have already come to an agreement with the 24-year-old.
However, Mendes has rubbished those claims and suggested his client is ready to commit his long-term future to United.
Speaking on Spanish radio station Cadena Ser on Sunday evening, he said. "It's not true that the deal is done.
"I am negotiating his contract renewal but we haven't signing anything yet. As of the moment, we will see what happens.
"We're holding talks and at this moment it seems he could continue with United, but as I say, we haven't signed anything yet.
