Chelsea and Manchester United could be encouraged to bid for Ivan Rakitic after he refused to commit his long-term future to Sevilla.
The Croatia international has no fewer than six suitors - United, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Juventus andLazio - following a terrific first half of the season.
The midfield ace has scored seven goals in 14 La Liga starts and has been tipped to leave Sevilla next year as he prepares to enter the final 18 months of his contract.
Recent reports claimed Atletico have already reached a pre-contract agreement with him, but he insists he is 100 per cent committed to Sevilla - for the time-being.
"A football player can never say with certainty that they will remain at this club," he is quoted as saying on TMW.
"It is the nature of the business. I've been at Sevilla for three years and in the meantime many things have changed. A possible farewell? I can assure you that I am 100 per cent focused on Sevilla.
