Manchester United want Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic, 29, a year after he joined the Spanish club from Bayern Munich for £18.5m. (Sun - subscription)

Manchester City's France full-back Bacary Sagna, 32, hailed his country's 1-0 victory over England in the Women's World Cup in Canada. He tweeted:   "Bravo premier match, premiere victoire de @equipedefrance!" Which means: "Congratulations first game, first win for team France!"

American actor Chris Pratt has told former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard to look him up when he gets to LA Galaxy - and not to forget the sun block. He said: "Once you get there you're going to see a ball of fire in the sky. Do not be alarmed. It's called the sun." (Match of the Day magazine) 
England striker Charlie Austin leaving QPR is the most likely transfer of the summer window, according to a group of Swiss academics who have created a computer programme to analyse the variables. It says QPR should charge between £7.5m and £9m for their leading scorer, 25. (City AM)
