Sergio Ramos has rejected a new contract offer from Real Madrid.
Cuatro says the defender has rejected Real Madrid’s opening offer in contract renewal talks.
Ramos, tied to the club until 2017 under his current deal, met with club president Florentino Pérez to listen to the terms on offer, but was left disappointed to discover his new salary would be lower not only than Cristiano Ronaldo's, but also less than Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Iker Casillas.
Ramos turned the offer down.
