Hoddle backs Redknapp for managerial return

Glenn Hoddle believes Harry Redknapp will return to management once his knee problems have been rectified.
The 67-year-old resigned as QPR manager on Tuesday, citing health issues, and is expected to be replaced by Tim Sherwood in the coming days.
Hoddle was a coach at Loftus Road under Redknapp and insists this will not be the last the game sees of the ex-West Ham and Tottenham chief.
When asked whether Redknapp would return to the game, Hoddle said: “Yes. I knew Harry a little bit before I went in there, but it was smashing working with him at QPR.
“He’s a great character. He just loves football. We’ve joked about it before, he’s said he wouldn’t know what he would do if it wasn’t for football.
“He might play a bit of golf but that’s no good if your knees aren’t very good.  He is a football man through and through. I’m sure he’ll be back in the game once he’s sorted his knees out.”
