Chelsea want to push a swap deal for Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado.
Sportmediaset says Cuadrado's camp struck personal terms with Chelseaover the weekend - but no agreement between the clubs has been settled.
Chelsea are reluctant to meet Cuadrado's £30 million-plus buyout clause and instead are offering Mohamed Salah in part-exchange.
Their last bid of £20.5 million was rejected by Fiorentina last week.
For his part, Colombia international Cuadrado has informed Fiorentina he wants to join Chelsea before next week's transfer deadline.
